Hot & Sticky Thighs For Two Recipe
If you’re a fan of honey, it’s about time you get your arse in gear and use it in more than your tea or on your toast. This is the 21st century; kick it up a notch, pour it on some thighs, and get grilling. You’ll be glad you did.
Hot & Sticky Thighs for Two Recipe
¼ cup honey
½ cup lime juice
1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce
½ teaspoon black pepper
¼ - ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
Pinch of sea salt
6-8 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
A candle, to set the mood
STEP 1: Assemble your ingredients and preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
STEP 2: In a small bowl, whisk the honey, lime juice, soy sauce, black pepper, cayenne, and sea salt. Whisk it up until it’s smooth. If the honey won’t dissolve, just sweet-talk it a bit. You catch more bees with honey, right?
STEP 3: Tenderly place the thighs in a deep baking dish. Be gentle. Drizzle the marinade over top of the thighs, creating a sweet bath of goodness. Turn the thighs to ensure they’re sufficiently covered. You don’t want to ignore them, do you?
STEP 4: Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
STEP 5: Clean your preheated grill and then brush it with a wee bit of oil, so the grill is all glistening and majestic. Gently place the thighs on the glistening grill.
STEP 6: Cook the thighs for about 12 minutes, flip, and continue to cook until juices run clear and the chicken is cooked through.
STEP 7: Place the thighs on a serving dish, ready to impress your significant other, and serve them (the chicken, not your significant other) with a nice salad and maybe some quinoa or something. Impress them with your ability to pronounce “quinoa” (keen-wah), and earn extra points if you serve it up on a plate with a bee painted on it.
