INGREDIENTS
- Crack a Cold, Sudsy One - 12 oz. worth
- 1 Dozen Thick Fatties - we recommend German Bratwurst
- 1 Sweet Onion
- Sauerkraut
- Green Onion
- 1/2 Stick of Butter
- Brat Buns
- Garlic Powder
- Salt and Pepper
- Red Pepper Flakes
- Bone Suckin' Sauce - Mustard and Hot
- World's Best Everyday Roasting Pan
- Brander Stainless Steel Pot
- Brander Busy Bee Multi-Purpose 15" Tongs
Step 1:
Pre-heat your grill to medium-high heat.
Step 2:
Slice your sweet onion into large rings. Cut your stick of butter into small cubes. Finely chop your green onion.
Step 3:
In your Brander Stainless Steel Pot combine 12 oz. of beer and all of your sweet onion. Bring to a boil.
Step 4:
Pour your now simmering beer, carefully, into your Brander Non-Stick Pan.
Submerge 6-8 bratwurst and add red pepper flakes, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Evenly add butter cubes around pan and place your pan on the grill, reduce the heat and close the lid. Cook for another 10-12 minutes.
Step 5:
Place your buttered brat buns on the grill for approximately 1 minute per side until you get a nice crisp.
Step 6:
Once your bratwurst are golden brown reduce your heat to low. Remove the bratwurst and continue to cook the onions.
Step 7:
Serve brats on your grilled brat buns with sauerkraut, beer-soaked onions, green onion and your choice of mustard - we suggest Bone Suckin' Sauce - available online - or a specialty mustard from Brassica - available in-store.
