Barbecues Galore

A long time ago, in 1979, the arrival of Trivial Pursuit, the Sony Walkman, and the snowboard were all dwarfed by the inception of the greatest North Calgary BBQ store and wholesale propane distribution company in existence (or what would be).

From humble beginnings a retail operation emerged in Calgary's northeast, driven by the popularity of expert barbecue sales. Turns out people want to get a barbecue from fire experts rather than your average big-box store. Who knew!

A south location of Barbecues Galore opened in 1993, and with the acquisition of Woods Fireplaces in 1996, we broadened our vision. It allowed us to spread our wisdom and passion like wildfire. And the city was ours. But from there, we looked east. With the newer stores in Burlington, Oakville, and Etobicoke, we seek to restore the honour of the name “Barbecues Galore,” which is a point of contention between ourselves and more annoyingly misspelled and unrelated businesses in both the US and Australia. Do they love fire like we do though?
