Special thanks to our friends at Cluck & Squeal.com for permission to use this recipe in our 2024 World of Barbecue series as we feature French recipes throughout August.
SUPER EASY (15-minute) method for how to cook Salmon baked and broiled with a lemon brown-butter finish.
INGREDIENTS
- Cluck & Squeal Montreal Seasoning & BBQ Rub can complement almost any protein.
- 2 TBSP Rolling Meadows Grass Fed Unsalted Butter
- Shake well and season with Cluck & Squeal Montreal Himalayan Seasoning & BBQ Rub
- 1 TBSP Lemon Juice
- 1 Salmon fillet
INSTRUCTIONS
- The SAUCE -
- Brown butter in a small sauce pot on medium-high heat, add the lemon juice immediately to the browning butter to prevent it from burning, and remove it from the heat. Combine well and set aside for later use.
- Season the SALMON -
- Liberally coat the Salmon fillet with Cluck & Squeal Montreal Himalayan Seasoning & BBQ Rub. TIP: Shake well and ensure the medium coarse blend is dispersing the finely ground seasoning as well as the coarse.
- The COOK -
- Cook the salmon with your desired method. We cooked it in a wood-burning oven for that slight hint of wood fire aroma at temperature of 375F. NO fire NO problem! Approximately bake the salmon for 7 – 9 minutes then check doneness. At this point change your oven to high broil for 2 – 4 mins. We do however recommend cooking farmed salmon to an internal temperature of 125 -135°F. wild salmon is best at 120-125F. Cook the center to your liking.
- The FINISH -
- Warm the lemon brown butter sauce, and drizzle over the Salmon….Devour!
