Well, we are officially into Spring and barbecue weather - did the quintessential rain pouring over our May Long Weekend not tip you off? Or the wafting smells of burgers, briskets and wings grilling, steaks searing, hoggies smoking, charcoal burning and fire pit smoke filling the air? Come on, you can't be that far behind.
Despite the weather, we have been soaking in every part of Spring. With customers in and out all day, and Spring events in full swing, Barbecues Galore is in its element.
For the past 3 weeks we have had our favourite guy, Brian from Napoleon, cooking up all the best barbecue foods at our Calgary North, Calgary South and Etobicoke locations.
Did you see Brian or taste his snacks?
If so please share your experience and photos with us.
Last weekend, we were extremely lucky to have Kris from Rocky Mountain Smokers - a professional barbecue competition team from Calgary, Alberta - come in and teach our staff all about The Art Of Smoking and his experience using a Big Green Egg .
Our staff started the Saturday with some jam-packed breakfast fatties.
*Saturday mornings are never dull around here*
The fun, learning moments didn't stop with the weekend. We went straight into our 2nd year of hosting the Weber Grill Academy in own backyard.
Legendary chefs: Mike P. Clide and Damian, along with Andre and Harvey - the cross Canada roadtrippin' Weber dream-team - were here Wednesday and Thursday evening teaching 48 lucky people how to put together an entire 4-course meal on charcoal smokers and Weber grills.
A great way to spend a weekday evening, tasty too.
And to top off an eventful couple of weeks, our very own Kent cooked us up some chicken wings for lunch on Friday.
