Spiced Grilled Apple Recipe

What’s more comforting than a warm apple pie? This Spiced Grilled Apple recipe. It’s more comforting because you don’t need to do much work – and laziness is comfortable. It tastes like apple pie while being infinitely easier to make - what more could you ask for?

Ingredients (serves one):
  • 1 large apple
  • 1 heaping teaspoon brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon rum or bourbon (optional, but you know you want it.)

Directions:

Step 2: Slice the apple horizontally and core it; mix the brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and rum or bourbon in a small bowl.

Pour Mixture into apple
Step 3: Place a large square of parchment paper on top of a large square of aluminum foil. Put the apple on top, and pour the mixture (from step 2) into the apple.

Cook the apple for 20-30 minutes. Rotating occasionsally
Step 5: Cook the apple for about 20-30 minutes, rotating it occasionally. For ultimate time-saving/laziness, grill it while your dinner is cooking, and keep it on the warming rack until it’s time for dessert.

Unwrap and transfer to plate. Top with ice cream or whip cream and serve warm.
