The Beer Can Chicken is the Rachmaninov Piano Concerto No. 2 of barbecue. They are both incredibly beautiful, they bring a tear to your eye, and they both take roughly the same amount of time from start to finish. Beer Can Chicken however, won't take a lifetime to master.
Simply open a beer, drink only 1/4 of it (if you can), put it in this beautiful roaster, then slip the chicken over the top. Rub it with your favourite barbecue rub. Cook it indirect at 350°F for about an hour. Use an instant read thermometer to ensure doneness, then get ready for all the compliments to roll in.
