Seared Scallops Recipe with KB Barbecue Rub

So, you came across a couple of scallops in a restaurant or grocery store and you're thinking to yourself, "I can make this." Well, you're right - they're a lot easier to cook than yourself. All you need is the right seasoning on these sea disks of deliciousness. You'll want to add extra flavours to your scallops lightly, but not too light, and definitely not too much so you don't ruin the essence of the scallop. That said, here's one of the best ways you can cook scallops - and be easily seen as a gourmet chef while doing it.

Seared Scallops Recipe

STEP 1: Pre-heat clean pan over medium-high heat.

STEP 2: Pat your scallops dry with a paper towel - try to get as much moister out as you can without damaging the little delicacies.

STEP 3: Sprinkle Kreiser Barbecue SPG+ Rub over them to season them.

    STEP 4: When the pan is nice and hot, add your oil and place your scallops in. Remember to give them room to cook in the pan and to not over-crowd the pan.

    STEP 5: Cook your scallops for 2 minutes without moving them until they're nicely seared.

    STEP 6: After, flip the scallops over with tongs and add 2 tablespoons of butter to the pan.

    STEP 7: Let your scallops cook for 1 more minute while basting them with the butter and ensure they don't burn. Charring is fine - no burning is allowed in these parts.
