Everyone loves a good burger. We don't care if you're a vegan or vegetarian, on a keto diet or a carnivorous one, everyone loves to have some kind of patty squished between two delicious buns. That being said, this particular burger isn't for the diet-restricted fellows out there because this burger will fill you up with all the meaty and cheesy goodness you've been craving lately.
Ingredients (for 4 burgers):
- 1 lb. Ground Beef
- 1 lb. Ground Pork
- 2 Tbsp. Killer Hogs Steak Seasoning
- ½ Tbsp. Prairie Smoke and Spice Big Beef Rub
- 2 Tbsps. Garlic Powder
- 5 Tbsps. Worcestershire
- 2 Tbsps. Blues Hog Smokey Mountain BBQ Sauce
- Salt and Pepper
- 4 Slices American Cheese
- 4 Slices Jack Cheese
- 2 Leaves of Lettuce (per burger, total 8 needed)
- 2 Tomatoes, sliced
- Garlic Dill Pickles
- 2 Tbsps. Chipotle Thousand Island (recipe below)
- 1 Cup Thousand Island Dressing
- 2 Tbsps. Ranch Dressing
- 1 ½ Tbsps. Chipotle in Adobo
Chipotle Thousand Island Sauce Directions:
First things first, use your trusty blender or food processor to combine the Thousand Island Dressing and Chipotle in Adobo. Blend until fully it's been fully mixed and has become a new sauce. Now set it aside and reserve for later use.
Note: If you're not a fan of spice, you can leave out the Chipotle in Adobo and add the following instead:
- 2 Tsps. White Vinegar
- 2 Tsps. Relish
- 1 Tbsp. Pureed Onion
Juicy Lucy Burger Directions:
STEP 1: Let's get your grill up to temperature by preheating it to 450° F.
STEP 2: While you let your machine do it's magic, you can go ahead and do some food prep. Mix the ground beef, ground pork, Killer Hogs Steak Seasoning, Prairie Smoke and Spice Big Beef Rub, garlic powder and Worcestershire sauce to form 8 individual 4 oz. patties. Be sure to mix the ground meat up well. Also, don't make them too thick because we'll be stacking the patties later.
STEP 3: After you've got your patties nice and shapely, add a slice of American Cheese on top of half the patties, and then Jack Cheese on top of that.
STEP 4: Now place a second cheese-less patty on top of that beauty and crimp the edges so the cheese doesn't leak out as it melts when the burger is cooking on your grill.

STEP 5: Spray cooking spray on your grill grates to create a non-stick surface. Be careful of any flare ups from the burners... only if you'd like to keep your eyebrows, that is.
STEP 6: Next, season the burgers with a touch of salt and pepper and place them on the grill.
STEP 7: Here's the fun part... cook your burgers until the internal temperature of 160°F.

STEP 8: Remember to toast burger buns. Now, transfer the buns to a cutting board to spread the Chipotle Thousand Island Sauce you made earlier on the top and bottom buns. Also add your Lettuce , sliced Tomatoes, sliced Garlic Dill Pickles too. Next, place that beautifully cooked Juicy Lucy burger patty, then place the top bun on top of that tower of tastiness.
STEP 9: Last but not least, take a bite of that Juicy Lucy and say "Hi" to the camera your foodie, Gen-Z niece is holding to get that cheese tasty looking cheese pull action. Be careful though, the cheese could be super hot, so it's best to let the patties rest for a while, or else you (and your nieces Instagram followers) will find out why this Juicy Lucy Cheese Stuffed Burger is also nicknamed "the Burger That Bites Back"!
